Vintage Hugh Tracey KALIMBA Wood Treble 17 Notes South Africa Musical Instrument

A gorgeous vintage and original Hugh Tracey Kalimba Treble 17 Note Wooden Musical from South Africa with original box and paperwork. Also known as an African Mbira or Likembe. This beautiful instrument is in nice vintage and gently used condition and is complete with original box, instruction and note card, and additional paperwork. The wood on this has wonderful rich colors, with minimal signs of wear; if you look closely at the back left corner there is a crack and/or roughness in the wood (see photos), and very light tiny scratches on the back. The metal keys have only minimal signs of wear, such as a tiny bit of blue color missing from the tip of one metal key (appears to be from storage). The box has some minor signs of storage wear, and the original label is nice.  This unique and beautiful musical instrument would make a thoughtful gift for the budding or experienced musician in your life.
CONDITION: In nice and beautiful vintage, pre-owned condition. Gently used, with some slight imperfections from age and storage. The wood is beautiful but I had to look very closely to see a split/crack and roughness at the bottom left back corner (See Photos), and there are very small surface scratches on the back. The metal keys and parts have very minimal signs of wear/age, mainly a bit of blue color loss at the tip of the middle key, and the top of one key has some “roughness” but that appears to be from manufacturing, and not surface corrosion. The label sticker on the back is crisp and bright. The original box has some obvious storage wear such as to the edges. The original paperwork is great, crisp, and legible.  Measures approximately: 7.25″ x 5.25″ x 1 1/8″. See all photos.
